Alkaline pyrogallol is a solution of sodium hydroxide in pyrogallol and it's used for absorbing oxygen. CaCl2 is used for absorbing water vapour, which means, CaCl2 is deliquescent.
Air contains, oxygen, water vapour, carbon dioxide, nitrogen and inert gases.
So, it's obvious that Nitrogen and inert gases will be left out after the air has passed through the two solutions.
