When an aluminum spoon is used to stir the ferrous nitrate solution then its green color starts disappearing because aluminum being more reactive with iron displaces it from its compound and itself from aluminum nitrate. Salamat amigos

metals can only be reduced to give
Al3+ + 3e-= Al

Reduction is electron gain
