exactly, cupper is lower in preferential discharge series to hydrogen, and from the rule, the lower element in the series is always discharged. Hope u got it?

relative concentration of the ion doesn’t not affect cations and oxyanion
It’s has effect on halogen ions only
According to understanding chemistry textbook

the answer to that question is hydr4ogen and nt copper

calculate the volume of oxygen evolved at 285k and 0.91 ×10⁵Nm-² when a current 72.5A is passed through acidified water for 15 minutes ( molar volume of gas at s t.p 22.4dm standard pressure is 1.01 ×10⁵Nm-² , first faraday is 96500

The answer is copper. Since copper and hydrogen are close to each other in the electrochemical series, their position in the series has no effect.
So we use their concentration in the solution to determine which gets discharged.
Since copper is more concentrated than hydrogen in the solution, copper becomes discharged instead of hydrogen.

The answer is copper because it has an increasing preferential discharge and decreasing radioactivity and hydroxyl ion and chlorine cannot be found in the anode

@nduka maybe not be here again to see this solvings but for the rest of my brethren who will like to know
Q= It
Q= 72.5×(15×60)
Q= 72.5× 900
Q=652500C

Vol/22.4= Q/eF
vol(V2) =?
Q=65250C
e= 4
F= 96500

from the formula
vol/22.4=65250/4×96500
cross multiply
96500×4×Vol=65250×22.4
vol= 1461600/386000
vol= 3.787dm³

which is V2=3.787dm³

P1V1/T1= P2V2/T2

P1=0.91 * 10 ^ 5
v1=?
T1=285K
P2=1.01 * 10 ^ 5
T2= 273K
V2= 3.787dm³

substitute in the equation.
0.91 * 10 ^ 5×V1/285= 1.01 * 10 ^ 5×3.787/273

(0.91 * 10 ^ 5× V1×273)=(1.01 * 10 ^ 5 ×3.787×285)
make V1 subject formula

V1= 109008795/24843000.
V1= 4.388dm³.

hope this will be clear. I wanted to send how I solved it on paper but it couldn't send.

The answer is hydrogen because copper is below hydrogen in the reactivity series hence copper will be displaced

Ions which are more concentrated are discharged from the electrolytes and deposited on the electrodes in preference to those which are less comcentrated...

since the number of ions seperating the competing ions does not exceed three.. H+ will be deposited

Concentration is always consider in preference to Position

It can neva b frequency because wen d mass is compress its frequency increases. B is correct because as the mass decreases the. Average intermolecular distance decreses and the molecules then to collide faster
