You guys are getting it all wrong
1. carbon reacts with water to form carbon hydroxide
2. Oxygen doesn’t react with water or itself
3. Copper doesn’t react neither water nor steam. It is below hydrgen in the electrochemical series
4. Bromine react with water to form bromine water i.e HOBr
5. Zinc doesn’t react with water but reacts with steam when heated to redness
Therefore, the answer is B, 2 & 3

Carbon
Carbon reacts with steam at high temperature.
C + H2O(g) → CO + H2
So carbon reacts with steam →
Oxygen
Oxygen does not react with water or steam under normal conditions.
Copper
Copper is below hydrogen in the reactivity series, so it does not react with water or steam.
Bromine
Bromine reacts with water.
Br2 + H2O → HBr + HOBr
So it reacts with water.
Zinc
Zinc reacts with steam.
Zn + H2O(g) → ZnO + H2
So it reacts with steam.
Elements that do NOT react with either water or steam:
2. Oxygen
3. Copper

if d ans is really 3 and 4 does it mean oxygen can also react with water?

D correct answer is actually B cause d question says Dat which of dem does not react with either water or steam, dat is it neither react with water, nor steam..
Oxygen does not react with water(steam) under normal conditions, likewise carbon, Zinc reacts with steam but not water, copper doesnot react with neither of dem, bromine is an halogen, (reacts with water to form oxobromate(1)acid,.

Oxygen does not react with itself, nitrogen, or water under normal conditions.
Copper cannot displace Hydrogen, it is lower in the electrochemical series.

Does oxygen react with water?
Oxygen does not react with itself, nitrogen, or water under normal conditions. Oxygen does, however, dissolve
in water at 20 degrees Celsius and 1 atmosphere

No, the Correct answer is 2&3..... Oxygen will not react with water....and Copper cannot displace Hydrogen, it is lower in the electrochemical series.

The answer is wrong, oxygen reacts with water to for peroxides. Oxygen also dissolves in water, an example of which is the percentage of dissolved oxygen in sea water, oceans and water bodies which provide a means of respiration for aquatic life.
O2 + H20----- H2O2
