my own answer is c o cos pottasium is the 19th element so when it forms its ion meaning k^+ its losing an electron which den forms d electronic configuration of argon which is 2,8,8

IT IS TOTALLY IMPOSIBLE TO LOSE A PROTON IN AN ATOM.IT WOULD RATHER LOSE AN ELECTRON , THEN HAVE AN ELECTRONIC CONFIGURATION OF OF ARGON ATOM.
