NH3 we know that it can be used to demonstrate fountain experiment to produce ammonium chloride which is white dense fume.
ammonia has a characteristics choking smell and lighter than air that means it can be collected by upward delivery or downward displacement of air
but the gas that produces punget smell as that of a rotten egg is H2S
