Well, from what I gather from a Chemistry literature (New School Chemistry)...and online, a hydrogen atom is a peculiar atom. It's the simplest atom out there. If it had a neutron, then its relative atomic mass would have been 2 instead of the 1 we've been using.

The hydrogen atom only has a centrally-placed proton and a loosely bound electron. No neutron.

The correct answer is A; Hydrogen has no neutron except from its isotopes deuterium and tritium which have neutrons of 1 & 2 respectively

The selected answer is wrong:

A hydrogen atom has got no neutron. It's only made up of a proton and an electron.

Myschool the answer is A

Lol.... My school knows how to freaking the hell out of students 🤣🤣🤣. Answer is A.
Why will answer be C? Unlesss it's deuterium, and tritium.

But the question didn't specify, and normally the most used hydrogen isotope is protium. So A is correct

Please kindly change the answer, hydrogen has no neutron

The correct option is A.
Reason:
The Hydrogen atom has only 1proton and 1 electron but there is no neutron.
Note that, mass no = proton no + neutron no.
Atomic no = Proton no
1 = 1 + n
n = 1- 1 = 0
Where n is neutron number

The answer is a, hydrogen is peculiar element that had only one proton and one electron

An Hydrogen atom contains one proton and one electron and if it then looses an electron, it is left with a proton only

the answer us correct 😡😡
we sll know hydrogen is diatomic and rmm of 2 then if u take one from 2 u will beeft with 1
