Since sodium acetate is a salt therefore it will dissociate completely in water and hence acts as a strong electrolyte.

Sorry guys but in the electrolysis of brine in the Kellner solvay cell mercury is just an electrode.To be specific a cathode as explained by O.Y.Ababio 2007 revised edition page 219.

its mercury. judging from the electrolysis is brine. ssodim acetate is an organic compound and organic compound does not conduct electricity.
