no of mole=mass in (g)/molar mass =10/40= 0.25mol then conc in mol/dm3=no of moles/volume in dm3 =0.25/1 =0.25mol/dm3 NOTE: 1000cm3=1dm3.

n=conc*volume=mass/molar mass=10/40=0.25,dat implies,0.25/1=conc in mol/dm3,since d volume z cm3,u hv 2 convert it 2 dm3 by dividin by 1000=0.25ans

since you were asked for the concentration in mol/dm³
C = n/vdm³
n = m/mm = 10/40 = 0.25mol.
v in cm³ = 1000cm³
N.B 1000cm³ = 1dm³
1000cm³ = 1000/1000 *1 = 1dm³

therefore..
C = n/vdm³ = 0.25/1 = 0.25moldm-³🌟🤝

mass/molamass*1000/volume. =10/40*1000/1000

=0.25mol/dm3

please how are you guys getting 40 because I'm getting 57
that is
Na(OH)2
23+2(16)+2(1)=57

and 20/57 = 0.18
0.18 ×1000=180
180/1000 to convert equals 0.18
which is nowhere in the option someone please explain @myschool

m/mm = cv/1000
m=10
mm= 23+16+1
= 40
c=?
v= 1000

10/40 = 1000 C/1000
(THE 1000 WILL CANCEL OUT LEAVING ONLY C)

C= 10/40
= 0.25(ans)
