Aerobic bacteria would definately decompose hydrocarbons into water and carbon(iv)oxide because it need oxygen to live, respiration would attract oxygen from the environment and simultaneously some of the oxygen is used for the combustion of the hydrocarbon. And stop saying you would burn up a farmland because you want to remove oil spillage. You will definately affect the unaffected areas of the farmland by so doing. In yorubaland, we will call the farmer 'ota aje' meaning 'enemies of market'.

d answer is by adding aerobic bacteria

explanation: there five method of removing oil spoilage in farmland 1.containment and recovering ( mechanical method)

2.dispersal (chemical method)

3.Bio remediation, adding microbes (I.e aerobic bacteria and fertilizer to the affected areas in order to clean up d spills

4 burning off of d layer from water

5 spraying with hot water.

even though 3 and 4 confuses d answer is 3 for farmlands

on my side, l would say it is best to use burning since it is on a water body. After the floating oil is burnt, the next layer which is water will quench the fire and that will be all.

remember if introducing aerobic bacteria is used it will not only consume the oil but also use up the oxygen in the water needed for aquatic life
However, I stand to be corrected.
