According to kinetic theory, gas molecules are in constant, random motion and regularly collide with each other and the wall of their container.
These collisions transfer momentum to the walls, resulting in the force that we measure as pressure.

Therefore, the correct answer to this question is option D.

I have come across exact or let me say similar question here in myschool and the chose D which is the correct answer... I don't understand why it's now "A" which should be of temperature reason, not pressure...

When the molecules of gas collide with the walls of the container they exert a force resulting to pressure on the container... (According to the Kinetic theory of gases)
The Pressure is as a result of the collision between gas molecules and the container walls...

Gas pressure is created by the continuous collision of gas molecules with the walls of the container. Each collision exerts a small force on the wall, and the sum of all these tiny forces per unit area results in gas pressure.

Key Points:
Gas molecules move randomly and rapidly in all directions.

When they hit the container walls, they exert force.

More collisions or faster-moving molecules result in higher pressure.

The correct choice is D. the molecules of a gas collide with the walls of the container.

I think there are 2 options in this question which are option B and D
come the think of it if 2 or more molecules of a gas collide with each and also with the walls of the container they exert a pressure.
so oo if that is the case option B which said colliding with each other's also exert pressure. in addition when two molecules of gases collide with each other we know that one! and secondly the wee are going to be

according to the kinetic theory, particles of gases collide with each other and with the walls of the containing vessel, the explanation mentions high speed NOT varying speed as the answer suggested. So, the answer should be D
