Yeah
furring of kettle is caused by temporary hardness of wand and Temporary hardness is caused by dissolved calcium hydrogencarbonate

The problem in the question is about the english, there is a difference between what compound cause furring in kettles and the conpound present in the water of... the compound with causes furring in kettle is CaCO3 but it is Ca(HCO3)3 that is present the water of temporary hard water

option B is soluble but cacoz is insoluble ,its insolubility causes the fury in kettle

Sometimes we might know the answer is just because we don't stay in English class
.
The complete question is "the furring of kettles is caused by the presence of CaCO3, in water of Ca(HCO3)2. So the correct answer is 'B'.

This same people gave explanation and defended their answer vehemently in the other past Questions that I've seen that 👉CaHCO3 is not the answer but👉 CaO3 and two of these are in the option.
I actually went on research about it and I was convinced that CaO3 is the cause of Furrying of kettle since it's a product of dissolved CaHCO3. Hence option D is the correct answer.

Greetings, The Myschool Team.
The correct answer is B(Calcium hydrogentrioxocarbonate (IV)) and not D (Calcium trioxocarbonate (IV)). The question asks for which compound is present in water("...presence in the water of?"). The compound present in temporarily hard water is calcium hydrogentrioxocarbonate(IV), which then decomposes to give calcium trioxocarbonate(IV). However, Ca(HCO3)2 is what is present in the water. Thus, the correct answer is B (Calcium hydrogentrioxocarbonate (IV)) and not D (Calcium trioxocarbonate (IV)). Thank you.

CaCO3 is a product of CaHCO3 when heated, hence the primary compound in the water was CaHCO3, so the is the correct option.

the answer can't be B is D caco cozit is insoluble if water is said to b hard

The furring of kettles or boilers - this is as a result of the decomposition of Ca(HCO3)2 into CaCO3, and this coats the inside of a kettle or boiler used in heating water containing dissolved Ca(HCO3)2.
so the answer is B and not D

D is the correct answer not B pls @myschool.ng chcek your answer its incorrect and jambites pls make sure u all read your books well oo
