Allotropy or allotropism (from Greek ἄλλος (allos), meaning "other", and τρόπος (tropos), meaning "manner, form") is the property of some chemical elements to exist in two or more different forms, in the same physical state, known as allotropes of these elements.

Isotopy is a phenomenon whereby atoms of the same element have the same atomic number but different mass number.

The ans is Allotrophy....we have up to 3 or more allotropes of carbon(Graphite, Diamond, Charcoal).... Now, when talking about the chemical properties...when burnt, they produce carbondioxide and water.....and the physical state is totally different because physical state is what you see or what you observed about their shape and the rest which is external...so this explains what allotrophy means...

Here is an explanation:

THE DISTURBANCE OF THE FOLLOWING PHENOMENON DECLARES THE FACT THAT WE MUST STRICTLY ADHERE TO THE FACT THAT WE MUST READ YOUR CHEMISTRY TEXTBOOK,WHAT ELSE DO YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN WHEN THE CASTROG EXPLANATION IS IN THE QUESTION

I don't understand how the answer is allotropy
Clearly the question said the same physical state
Graphite diamond are not in the same physical state
So it can't be allotropy
