So answer is meant for feeling and thinking. Just meditate on the question. Then u will unlock all closed door.

Some of us have not heard of Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane(DDT )- a colourless, odourless, tasteless organochlorine known for its insecticidal properties.

The air pollutant that is unknown in nature is **DDT** (Option D).

DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane) is a synthetic chemical compound that doesn't occur naturally. It was widely used as an insecticide in the mid-20th century, but due to its environmental and health effects, many countries have now banned its use.

On the other hand, Nitric Oxide (NO), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and Formaldehyde (HCHO) can all be found naturally in the environment, even though they can also be produced by human activities and contribute to air pollution.

I hope this helps! If you have any more questions, feel free to ask. 😊

The rest pollutant are known in nature so that is why they are avoided, but DDT(Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane) is an insecticide that is not known to have a very dangerous effect on human by polluting the atmosphere when sprayed;but it was unknown over years till it was recently discovered even till today most people still dont know about DDT

insectixide

NO (Nitric Oxide): It is a common air pollutant produced by combustion processes, such as in vehicles and industrial activities. It can lead to the formation of nitrogen dioxide (NO2) in the atmosphere, contributing to air pollution.

CO (Carbon Monoxide): This colorless, odorless gas is produced by incomplete combustion of carbon-containing fuels. It can be emitted from vehicles, industrial processes, and household appliances. High levels of CO can be harmful, as it interferes with the body's ability to transport oxygen.

HCHO (Formaldehyde): A colorless gas with a pungent odor, formaldehyde is often used in the production of resins and other industrial processes. It can also be found in some household products. Prolonged exposure to formaldehyde may cause respiratory and other health issues.

DDT (Dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane): DDT is not an air pollutant in the traditional sense; it's an insecticide that was widely used in the mid-20th century. Its use has significantly declined due to environmental concerns and its impact on wildlife, particularly birds.

Among these, DDT is not naturally occurring but rather a synthetic chemical introduced by humans for pest control. It gained notoriety due to its persistence in the environment and harmful effects on non-target organisms.

The correct answer is D, DDT (dichlorodiphenyltrichloroethane) is an air pollutant that is not found in nature. DDT was originally developed as an insecticide, but it was banned for use in the United States in 1972 due to its harmful effects on wildlife. Even though it is no longer used in the US, it persists in the environment for a long time, and it has been detected in the air, water, and soil. It can have harmful effects on animals, plants, and humans, and is classified as a persistent organic pollutant by the United Nations.

The answer is CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons). CFCs are chemicals used in products such as refrigerants, aerosol propellants, and foaming agents. They are not found in nature, and they are extremely damaging to the ozone layer when they enter the atmosphere. The other options are naturally occurring and do not cause damage to the ozone layer.
