simply put..

To a mixture of iodine crystals and sulphur powder, add carbon disulfide solution and stir
(you will observe the sulphur will dissolve leaving behind the undissolved iodine crystals)

for further separation, pass the mixture through a filter paper(a colloidal solution of sulphur in carbon disulfide gets separated in a different container as the filtrate while the undissolved iodine crystal is left behind as the residue).🤝

this means that sulphur Will dissolve into carbon(iv) sulphide and become a liquid, leaving iodine as a solid (in solid form),to get filtered out

well, l will say the question is lacking a vital info or maybe options are not properly stated.
Cabon (iv) sulphide will only dissolve sulphur not iodine. So it dissolves sulphur and filters it leaving behind iodine. (And option C is quite relating to this).

To separate a mixture of iodine and sulfur crystals, you can use sublimation. Iodine sublimes at room temperature, meaning it transitions directly from a solid to a gas without passing through the liquid phase. When heated gently, iodine vaporizes, leaving behind the sulfur crystals.
