The answer above is very wrong...The question is quite tactical and strategic... About 99% of students have failed this question

The correct answer is A.
Reason, an increase in temperature In any case results in an increase in the average kinetic speed of the molecules (speed in this case, was replaced with velocity)... Consequently, this will result in an increase in the speed at which the molecules hit the walls of the container... This, increasing the gas pressure.

If we put option B into consideration... An increase in the number of collisions between the molecules will not result in an increase in pressure as this optimally doesn't make sense

Gas pressure is force per unit area of vessel/wall of container... If a molecule collide with another molecule, it will ultimately result in a loss-gain of energy between the molecules... And this will not increase the gas pressure in anyway
If you think what I'm saying isn't factual.... Then I think you should consult JAMB CHEMISTRY 1992 NUMBER 8 (that question is very funny)

Accoding to the kinetic theory of matter, an increase in temperature leads to an increase in the average speed of molecules. This increase in velcoity leads to a higher number of collisons between the molecules and the walls of the containing vessel, ultimately leading to an increase in pressure of gas.

The correct answer is:

B. number of collisions between the molecules

Explanation:
When the temperature of a gas increases, the kinetic energy of the gas molecules also increases. This leads to an increase in the average velocity of the molecules (A is also technically true). However, the pressure increases because the molecules move faster and collide more frequently with the walls of the container, which is what causes the increase in pressure.

So while A is a contributing factor, B is the most direct reason for the increase in pressure.

Correct answer: B. number of collisions between the molecules
