Aluminum does not react with nitric acid because it forms a layer of the protective oxide over it, hence it is used to make containers for nitric acid..the answer should be C cos aluminum reacts with NAOH to form NaAl(OH)4

The correct answer is D. Because Aluminum do not react with the conc acid, probably due to the formation of a surface coating of oxide which is passive and stops any further action by the acid. Therefore conc HNO3 acid is usually transported in containers lined with aluminum.

The answer is C. Amphoteric metals dissolve in alkali, hence aluminium is not used in containers for Naoh because it dissolves in it.

At kenny boy you are wrong. Check uses of aluminum. It can be used as over head wires becos it conduct electricity

The answer is D. Container for nitric acid. Nitric acid is typically stored in containers made of materials like high-density polyethylene (HDPE), fluorinated plastics, or glass. While aluminum is a component of overhead cables and duralumin, and can be used in containers for caustic soda, it is not suitable for storing nitric acid due to the corrosive nature of the acid.

The selected answer is wrong.
The correct answer is option C,
Because, aluminum dissolves in sodium and potassium hydroxides to form soluble aluminate(III), with evolution of hydrogen.
2Al + 2NaOH + 6H2O = 2NaAl(OH) + 3H2
Thus, caustic soda container does not contain aluminium component. And caustic soda is never used to clean aluminium vessels.
