In ababio chemistry topic =phosphorous and compounds it says that phosphorous exists in three allotropic nature. My SChool take corrections pls

Phosphorus exists in three allotropic forms namely white red and black

B. Phosphorus is obtained by oxidation reaction of phosphate → Incorrect.

Elemental phosphorus is actually obtained by reduction (not oxidation) of phosphate rock/minerals, typically using carbon (coke) in an electric furnace at high temperature.

The reaction is roughly:
2Ca₃(PO₄)₂ + 6SiO₂ + 10C → 6CaSiO₃ + 10CO + P₄
This is a reduction process (removal of oxygen), not oxidation.

The statement that is NOT correct is **B Phosphorus is obtained by oxidation reaction of phosphate**. Phosphorus is commercially produced through the reduction of phosphate rock, typically calcium phosphate, in an electric arc furnace. This process involves heating the phosphate rock with silica and coke (a form of carbon). The carbon acts as the reducing agent, extracting oxygen from the phosphate and yielding elemental phosphorus. The overall reaction can be represented as: $Ca_3(PO_4)_2 + 3SiO_2 + 5C \rightarrow 3CaSiO_3 + 2P + 5CO$ This is a reduction reaction, not an oxidation reaction. Phosphorus in phosphate ($PO_4^{3-}$) has an oxidation state of +5, and it is reduced to an oxidation state of 0 in elemental phosphorus ($P$).

I noticed that too

But no yellow phosphorus that's E

The correct option is B
because phosphorus is not obtained by oxidation but rather reduction
Since "both" were used in two options then I think they were regarding the white and red phosphorus
Myschool pls do well to rectify the answer

if C is wrong then D is also wrong nah
Jamb why

Answer should be B.

Pls look into the question again. It says, which of this is NOT.
