The production of ammonia by the haber process may be represented by the equilibrium equation N2(g) + 3H2(g) ↔ 2NH3 ∆H = -22KJ. Therefore the production of ammonia will be favoured by?

a

only high pressure

b

c

a combination of high temperature and low pressure

because it is an exothermic reaction, a decrease in temperature favours forward reaction.
plus increase in pressure also favour the forward reaction because 1) they are all gases 2) the forward reaction has a lesser mole compare to backward reaction. increased pressure favour portion with lower number of mole

I tink d ans shud b high tem nd high pressure

it is an exo thermic reaction.
it is low temperature since d reaction gives out heat.
high pressure favours the side with less moles
