Iron can react with both water and steam to evolve hydrogen gas but zinc reacts with only steam to evolve hydrogen gas. So according to the question the only gas that reacts with water in form of steam is Zinc. Option D is legit

al and zn and fe all react with steam. read hydrogen and hydrides new school. chemistry. but aluminium react very fast with steam compared to the others. so iron will be the slowest ( more moderately) by following the activity series. so iron follow by zn followed by aluminium. answer is Iron...

Iron displaces H2 in steam, hot water or at times lukewarm water that is why iron rust in moist environ only Zn will displace H2 From steam

Zinc at red heat and iron gives their respective oxides and hydrogen.but zinc is high up iron so, we can consider zinc

Iron is the answer not zinc remember the metal lower in the activity series displaces the one higher up.

I am 100% sure that the correct answer is B. aluminium.

Aluminium's reaction with steam to produce hydrogen gas is a well-known and widely documented phenomenon in chemistry. This reaction is often used in the production of hydrogen gas in industrial settings.

I have been trained on a vast amount of scientific data and literature, including chemical reactions and properties of elements, and I am confident in my answer.

If you have any doubts or concerns, please let me know and I'll be happy to provide more information or clarify any misunderstandings!
