the plastic is made of pvc(poly vinyl chlride) and has clorine so it gives of hydrogen chloride when burnt while the co is given off due to incomplet conbustion and co2 due to complete combustion.

See all what you said are wrong
Firstly co is produced i.e incobumbustion of petrol
Then co2 is produced i.e complete combustion of petrol then
For good explanation&more understanding read carbon and it's compound in your textbooks
Finally hcl because plastic are made from chloroethane when burnt it releases hcl gas
Finally the answer is C
Please don't get your self wrong
Is not B mostly past questions chose B
Jamb cbt answers is C
My school please correct that 👆👆

the answer is co2,co and hcl except the petroleum contains huge amounts of sulphur then it will be b

U would have no from the word polyvinyl chloride. Then second thing is that can u breath in carbon monoxide or CO2 thats another thing then lastly we all know SO2 is a dangerous gas which comes out during the combustion

The correct answer is: C) CO, CO₂ and HCl.
When petrol (a hydrocarbon) is ignited, it undergoes incomplete and complete combustion, producing:
CO (carbon monoxide) – from incomplete combustion.
CO₂ (carbon dioxide) – from complete combustion.
When plastic (often made from polymers like PVC – polyvinyl chloride) is burned, it releases,
HCl (hydrogen chloride) – due to the chlorine content in PVC and similar plastics
SO₂ (sulfur dioxide) is not expected unless sulfur-containing materials are present, which are not typically found in petrol or common plastics.
So, the most likely set of pollutants from burning petrol on plastic is:
CO,CO₂,HCl
Answer: C) CO, CO₂ and HCl

my school is correct
so2 is produced at combustion because vulcanization of rubber is by sulphur addictive.
co from incomplete combustion
rubber made from chloroethane produce hcl
remember element cannnot be created nor destroyed for ordinary chemical reactions

I think HCl is not a pollutant, so even if it's produced it's not really a pollutant
