Rate of diffusion of X =Rx
Rate of diffusion of Y is Ry
Density of x is 0.5
Density of Y is 2
Using the formula

Rx/Ry=√Density of y/√Density of X
Rx/Ry=√2/√0.5
where 0.5 is 1/2
Rx/Ry=√2/√1/2 =√2/(1/2
Rx/Ry=√2/1×2/1
Rx/Ry=√4
