Which of the following equilibria shows little or no net reaction when the volume of the system is decreased?
H2(g) + I2(g) ≈ 2HI(g)
2NO2(g) ≈ N2O4(g)+O4(g)N2O4(g)
PCI5(g) ≈ PCI3(g) + CI2(g)
ZnO(s) + CO2(g) ≈ ZnCO3(g)

The answer is A. This is because comparing the number of moles on the reactant to the number of moles in the product side, the volume is the same.

ooh..no.....myschool d question is nt correct....bcuz there is no net reaction...in both A andB....since both there product and reactant av dsame numbers of mole.....pls cross check....

Only option A has the same number of gas molecules on both sides, so changing volume has little or no effect.
Correct answer: A.

d ans is A bcus wen ther is no decrease in vol. The presure increases..and remember from d queston when there is no net reaction...therefore increase in presure always favour d side with small no of moles and in a d moles are equal so d ans is A.

i am tired of wromg answers.. i even doubt the ones i got correctly but i chose them cos i wasnt sure

Also an increase I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ volume cause a decrease I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ preSsure which will work since option D,all Α̲̅я̩̥̊ε̲̣̣̣̥ not I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ gaseous. Phase

Apologies please! Kindly note that correction has been made. Thank you all for your contributions.

it is D...buh it is nt bcuz all of dem are not gaseous...buh bcuz it product is not in gaseous form....
