Mr.Bright...The p_orbital contains 6_electrons,bt in the equation...the p_orbital contain 3 electrons which means dat it still needs mre three to complete its orbital.

there are two answers, because if it's orbitals we're talking about, 3 is right, but in the normal structure of an atom, there would be 5 unpaired electrons on the outermost shell, so maybe it should be specified

The answer is meant to be 5 cause one will have to consider the coefficient of the orbitals not in All cases but in some cases where the last two orbitals shares common coefficient.
Now the last two orbitals has common coefficient which will lead to the addition of the electrons
