(a) Hospitality is defined as the cordial and generous reception of a guest or stranger either socially or commerciall Or Hospitaiity is the relationship process, presentation, formality and procedures experienced between a Visitor or customer or guest and a host.
(b) Classes of eatering establishment: (i) Commercial Catering Establishment (ii) Non-Commercial Catering/Welfare Catering Establishment.
(c) Five functiors of catering establishment: (1) Provision of food, beverages and confectionery to the public (ii) Provision of healthy and conducive environment where meals are taken. (iii) Provision of well arranged dinning table and good food service for people as they cater at events or parties. (iv) Provision of adequate washing up facilities.(V) Provision of balanced menu for individuals at work or away from home. (vi) Provision of food that suit people with special needs outside their homes, e.g. ulcer patients, diabetics, vegetarians, etc (vii) Provision of clean and hygienic cutleries for individuals away from home. (viii) it delivers food to Customers at extra cost away from their locations.
