While temperature, light, and pressure are universal factors that affect both terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, humidity refers specifically to the amount of water vapour in the air. Because aquatic habitats are fully submerged in water, humidity is not a relevant ecological factor for organisms living entirely within those water bodies.
