Correct Answer: Option A
Explanation

The heterozygous red flower parent (Rr) produces two types of gametes, R and r, each with a probability of 1/2. The white flowered parent (rr) produces only one type of gamete,r, with a probability of 1. The resulting offspring genotypes are two Rr and two rr out of four possible combinations. 

The probability of an offspring being Rr is calculated as the number of Rr outcomes divided by the total number of outcomes:

                                                                            P(Rr) = \(\frac{Number of Rr outcomes}{Total number of outcomes}\)

                                                                                      = \(\frac{2}{4}\)

                                                                                      = \(\frac{1}{2}\)

 The probability that the offspring will be Rr is  \(\frac{1}{2}\) - option A
