Option D making it look tricky but the genetic make up of individuals doesn't fully explain Physiological variation...

A is more correct because it involves physiological processes (metabolic processes, cellular functions, physiological adaptations) and functions that are not physically identified... Just like tasting PTC (phenylthiocarbamide)
