Based on the image of the experiment on the sedimentation of soil, the organic component of the soil is labelled:
A. I
Here's why:

The label, I points to the top layer of the soil sample in the cylinder. This layer is typically darker in colour and has a more loose and porous texture than the lower layers.
Organic matter in soil is composed of decomposed plant and animal material. It tends to be darker in colour, lighter in weight, and less compact than mineral components like sand and clay.
The diagram's lower layers (II, III, and IV) appear lighter in colour and more compact, suggesting they are primarily composed of mineral particles.
Therefore, based on the visual cues of colour, texture, and position within the cylinder, the layer labelled I is most likely the organic component of the soil.

organic components of the soil consists of dead, decomposed or decaying organic matter.
Being dead and thus decayed, they tend to have very light weight and therefore low density.
As a result, the organic components of the soil are seen floating on top of water in a sedimentation experiment 🌟🤝
