the correct answer is A. bcos (iv) is d proximal convulated tubule and selective reabsorption occurs in d proximal tubules n loop of henle. while secretion of ADH take place in the part labelled (iii) which is d distil convulated tubules.

This diagram is poorly drawn and the indication incomplete. The answer is the loop of Henle and it is the part that has a "U" shape. There was no line drawn to it. The one everyone is saying is the answer is the proximal convulated tubule where selective reabsorption takes place

The correct answer is A
(iii) represents the distal convulated tubule (where the reabsorption of water takes place by the action of ADH)
While (iv) represents the proximal convulated tubule, where salts, sugar, amino acid...are being reabsorbed
Pls make correction to this

In mammals reabsorption of salts takes place in the proximal part of the “TUBULE" .

yes, selective reabsorption occurs in the hoop of Henle, but it is mostly water that get reabsorbed through osmosis

I think the answer is proximal convoluted tube because the proximal convoluted tube is where salt is reabsorbed, but the distal convoluted tube is mostly concerned with secretion, more water is just reabsorbed with K+ and H+
