If you choose A. not only mammals possess pentadactyl limbs.
B. Chickens exibit parental care... they aren't mammals
C. Only mammals possess scrotum.. though not all but ONLY mammals
D. amphibians also carry out pulmonary circulation.
so the answer is C.

i disagree...aves also exhibit parental care...d only character dat is unique to mammals is d possession of SCROTUM...no other animal family possesses scrotum except mammal... ..

I disagree , how is it possession of scrotum ,do birds or fishes which are vertebrates possess scrotum .. I think it is the presence of pentadactyl limbs.

The correct answer is:
C. the possession of scrotum
The scrotum, an external pouch that holds the testes, is unique to mammals. It plays a role in regulating the temperature of the testes for optimal man-fluid production, which is not found in other vertebrates.

Now i think d ans should be parental care coz not all mammal possess scrotum

when they say "unique to mammals" it means if not all, almost all mammals alone must possess it, scrotum is not even close to the answer and besides scrotum is mainly found in male animals so are you guys saying only male animal are mammal?... Answer is surely parental care
