Epiphytes are organisms that grow on other plants for nutrient, water etc. The rainforest has a very thick canopy which might prevent light from reaching the ground surface so to get light, epiphytes grow on other plants to get light..... Light should be the answer myschool.. Gracias

this is totally wrong!!

epiphytes compete for sunlight and not nutrient...the grow on top of another plant and compete for sunlight to ensure they photosynthesize.
