The correct Answer is Discontinuous variation here.
My school please correct this. Discontinuous variation varies over a wide range from one extreme to the other

C. continuous variation

Why: Continuous variation shows a wide range of differences from one extreme to the other, with many intermediates. Examples: height, weight, skin color, intelligence. The trait forms a smooth curve when plotted.

Why not the others:
- B. Discontinuous variation: Has distinct categories with no intermediates. E.g. blood group A, B, AB, O or ability to roll tongue. No “in-between” forms.
- A. Phenotypic variation: General term for all observable differences. It includes both continuous and discontinuous variation, so it’s too broad.
- D. Genotypic variation: Differences in genetic makeup. Genotypic differences can cause either continuous or discontinuous variation, but the question describes the _pattern_ of variation, not the cause.

So “wide range from one extreme to the other” = continuous variation.
