The cross between RrTt and rrtt where R is a gene for red colour and T for tallness will result in______

The possible genotypes of the offsprings are..
**RrTt.....(red and tall),
**rrTt......(white and tall),
**Rrtt......(red and short), and
**rrtt.......(white and short)
there will be 4 RrTt; 4 rrTt; 4 Rrtt and also 4 rrtt... making a total of 16
Therefore, offsprings that are tall red are 4 in number.. 4/16 = 0.25
0.25 X 100 = 25%
Option B is the correct option

where "R"= red fruits and "r" = non red fruits or any other colour of fruits which isn't red and "T" = tall/tallness while "t" = short
Firstly when you cross Rr and rr you get four occurances which are = [Rr, Rr & rr,rr] i.e
2Rr and
2rr
Secondly when you cross Tt and tt you will also get four occurances [Tt , Tt & tt, tt ] i.e
2Tt and
2tt
Now going back to the answers in the question you will find out that what we are looking for is the appropriate"Tall with red fruits"
Now in the first cross [Rr & rr] we noticed that there where 2 out of the 4 occurrences in the red fruits which resulted to Heterozygous Red i.e [Rr & Rr] and a Homozygous non red (rr,rr) so therefore we have 2/4 x 100 = 50% meaning that 50% of the fruits were Red [Rr,Rr]
and 50% too where non red (rr,rr)
Now for the second cross [Tt & tt] you will also notice that there where 2 out of the 4 occurrences for Tallness which resulted to heterozygous pairing of tallness i.e [Tt & Tt] and a Homozygous pairing of Shortness (tt & tt) so therefore we have 2/4 x 100 = 50% meaning that 50% resulted to heterozygous Tallnesss [Tt ,Tt]
and 50% resulted to homozygous shortness (tt ,tt)
so the correct answer goes to option C
because from the question we are looking for the correct "Tall with Red fruits" = {Tt + Rr}
i.e 50% tall and also 50% Red
so Myschool is correct on this
