please myschool, the answer to the question is C .... before fertilization, meiosis occur. thanks for the good job.

The correct answer is **C. before fertilization**. Meiosis is the process of cell division that produces gametes, such as man-fluid and egg, in s*xually reproducing animals. Meiosis reduces the number of chromosomes in each cell by half, so that when two gametes fuse during fertilization, they form a diploid cell with the normal number of chromosomes. Meiosis does not occur after fertilization, or before or after every mitotic division. Mitosis is a different type of cell division that produces identical daughter cells for growth and repair..

D. before every mitotic division(wrong)

Meiosis does not occur before every mitotic division. Instead, meiosis is a specialized form of cell division that only occurs in the production of gametes (man-fluid and egg cells). Meiosis reduces the chromosome number by half, resulting in the formation of haploid gametes. Mitotic divisions, on the other hand, are a form of cell division that occurs in somatic cells and are responsible for growth, repair, and maintaining the diploid chromosome number in the organism.

The correct answer is:

✅ C. Before fertilization

Explanation:
Meiosis is a type of cell division that produces gametes (man-fluid and egg cells) in animals.

It occurs in the gonads (testes & ovaries) to produce haploid (N) gametes, which have half the number of chromosomes.

During fertilization, a man-fluid (N) and an egg (N) fuse to form a diploid (2N) zygote.

This ensures that the correct chromosome number is maintained in offspring.

Why Other Options Are Incorrect:
A. After fertilization ❌ – After fertilization, the zygote undergoes mitosis, not meiosis.

B. After every mitotic division ❌ – Meiosis is a separate process and does not follow mitosis.

D. Before every mitotic division ❌ – Mitosis occurs in somatic (body) cells, while meiosis occurs only in reproductive cells.

Thus, the correct answer is:
✅ C. Before fertilization

My school is correct remember, before the man-fluid cell is form the parent cell called man-fluidatogonia divides by mitosis, then of the new man-fluidatogonia undergoes meiosis to form 4 man-fluid cells, because without the mitotic division the man-fluid producing cell would have been used up.

meiosis should occur before fertilization to maintain the number of chromosomes in the zygote and prevent chromosomal defects in the offspring

The correct answer is:
C. before fertilization
Explanation:
In animals, meiosis is the type of cell division that produces gametes (man-fluid and egg cells).
Meiosis reduces the chromosome number from diploid (2n) to haploid (n).
This happens before fertilization.
During fertilization, the man-fluid and egg fuse to restore the diploid number.
So:
Meiosis → forms gametes
Fertilization → gametes unite
Therefore, meiosis occurs before fertilization
Please my school correct the answer ✅
