But shaa. The answer is correct. Let me explain
During conjugation in paramecium, the two organisms lie side by side for the exchange of genetic materials
The macronucleus splits into smaller fragments which later because absorbed into the cytoplasm
The micronucleus divides into 4 haploid by meiosis. Out of these 3 disintegrate and are absorbed leaving the remaining 1
The remaining 1 divides into two nuclei of different sizes. The one bigger in size is the female and the one smaller in size is the male.
Then it is the male nuclei that will fuse with the female of that other paramecium which lies side by side. And then exchange of genetic materials continues.
I don't know if you understand what I'm saying but that's just the main information that is to be understood in conjugation in paramecium
