An aggregate fruit is formed from a single flower that possesses multiple separate (apocarpous) carpels. Each carpel develops into a small individual fruitlet, such as an achene, and these fruitlets are collected on a common receptacle. E.g strawberry(where the seeds on the outside are actually individual achenes clustered together).
