Homozygous, as related to genetics, refers to having inherited the same versions (alleles) of a genomic marker from each biological parent. eg. TT or tt (for height)
Heterozygous refers to having different alleles for a particular trait. e.g. Tt (for height). Heterozygous or cause in only one form e.g Aa (for albinism) while homozygous occurs in two forms e.g. AA and aa (for albinism). Two homozygous parents always give rise to homozygous offsprings. The parents of the offsprings labelled R are homozygous. Automatically, the offsprings are also homozygous.
