The graph above shows the results of a laboratory investigation which measured the body temperatures of a lizard and a bird under changing artificial conditions. Use it to answer the question.
What physiological term can be used to describe the regulation of the body temperature of the of the Lizard?

Homeostasis
Homoithermy
Poikilothermy
Osmoregulation

Myschool should please explain why the answer is homeostasis and not poikilothermy

Homeostasis is the physiological term for organisms with a fairly constant body temperature. The body temperature of the lizard 🦎 is not constant but changes with that of the environment. The physiological term for the lizard is poikilothermy. Option C

Since the Organism (Lizard) was specified the correct answer is C... Homeostasis involves how both warm and cold blooded regulate their body temperature
My school do the needful

Apologies! The correction has been effected. Thank you all for your contributions.

Almost all reptiles if not all are cold blooded, Mr Spirit Marvel. This means their body temperature changes with relation to their environment

Poikilothermy involves a significant change in body temperature in response to environmental temperature changes. So I think C is the correct answer to this question because the lizard’s body temperature increased rapidly.

Myschool is very correct because looking at the twisted question which says “regulation of body temperature” this really speaks about homeostasis.
Poikilothermic describes cold blooded animals and it has nothing with regulation and balancing of the body
