The selected answer ought to be 'eutrophication.'
To quote Wikipedia:
"Eutrophication is when a body of water becomes overly enriched with minerals and nutrients which induce excessive growth of algae. This process may result in oxygen depletion of the water body. One example is an "algal bloom" or great increase of phytoplankton in a sandy body as a response to increased levels of nutrients. Eutrophication is often induced by the discharge of nitrate or phosphate-containing detergents, fertilizers, or sewage into an aquatic system."

In summary(What I discovered):

The enrichment of water with nutrients such as nitrates and phosphates that triggers the growth of green algae is called eutrophication.This fast growth of algae followed by decomposition depletes the water body of its dissolved oxygen. As a result aquatic animals die of oxygen shortage. Eutrophication can be a natural process in lakes, occurring as they age through geographical time.
Sewage and/or fertilizer runoff from fields

Enriched nutrient content in lakes (Eutrophication)

Algae multiply to produce an ‘algal bloom’

Algae use up oxygen and begin to die

Decomposers (bacteria) multiply and use more oxygen

Organisms (such as fish) die due to lack of oxygen

Look it up if any doubts; hope to see amendments!

The answer is C oo...why is every past question making the same mistake?
To quote Wikipedia-
"Eutrophication (from Greek eutrophos, "well-nourished"), distrophication or hypertrophication, is when a body of water becomes overly enriched with minerals and nutrients which induce excessive growth of algae.

I got to know about this, bioaccumulation and, biomagnification while studying "Pollution."

The Answer Is C as eutrophication is the the excesive growth of algea in water body due to nitrate from the soil or phophorus from domestic homes. As as a result of this, the water oxygen is reduce drastically and aerobic quatic animal perish.
