Parietal placentation is a type of placentation where ovules are attached to the inner walls of the ovary, or on slight outgrowths of the wall forming incomplete partitions within a compound ovary. In parietal placentation, the ovules develop on the inner walls of the ovary, rather than being attached to a central axis or column.
