it C food and mortality absence OD food and high mortality rate causes a decrease in population

the answer to this should be D that is space and competition the other options like mortality and natality they are exclusively for higher organisms so the best option is space and competition because when organisms are overcrowded in the habitat the struggle for space and they also struggle 4 a common resource so the answer should be Option D

The correct answer is A. competition and natality rate (though in some contexts, C is also very strong). Let's look at why A is the primary choice for "factors that affect population" in a general biological sense.

1. Population Dynamics
In biology, population size is determined by four main factors: Natality (birth rate), Mortality (death rate), Immigration, and Emigration.

Natality (A): This is the direct driver of population increase.

Competition (A): This is a "density-dependent" factor. As a population grows, individuals compete for resources (food, space, mates). High competition usually slows down the growth rate.

Note on Option C: While food and mortality definitely affect population, "Competition" in Option A is a broader ecological term that includes the struggle for food, making it a more comprehensive answer for how populations are regulated.
