The correct answer is A. high osmotic concentration.

Freshwater habitats are characterized by:

- Low osmotic concentration (low salt levels)
- Variable oxygen concentrations (often low in stagnant water)
- Flooding during rainy seasons (changing water levels)
- Daily temperature fluctuations (diel temperature changes)
- Limited size and depth (compared to marine habitats)

High osmotic concentration is actually characteristic of marine habitats, such as oceans and seas, where salt levels are high.

The other options are correct characteristics of freshwater habitats:

- B. Low oxygen concentration can occur in stagnant or slow-moving water.
- C. Flooding during rainy seasons is common in freshwater habitats like rivers, lakes, and wetlands.
- D. Temperature changes can occur daily in freshwater habitats, especially in shallow water.
- E. Freshwater habitats generally have limited size and depth compared to marine habitats.

Great question!

I think the answer should be b because fresh water usually has high oxygen concentration unlike salt water which has low oxygen concentration
