The selected answer is wrong:

Pulmonary vein can never contain deoxygenatedblod at any point in time. It is the right and left Pulmonary artery that carries deoxygenated blog to the heart for processing and the Pulmonary veins brings it back. All the veins in the body carry deoxygenated blood except the Pulmonary and umbilical veins which is also vice versa for their corresponding arteries.

All the veins in the body carry deoxygenated blood to the heart except the Pulmonary and umbilical veins which is also vice versa for their corresponding arteries.

The pulmonary artery carries deoxygenated blood from

the right ventricle into the lungs for oxygenation. The

pulmonary veins carry oxygenated blood from the lungs

into the left atrium to be returned to systemic circulation.

The aorta is the largest artery in the body.
