apical meristem if of the shoot, and that is where cell division of the shoot happens. whereas cell division of the root occurs at the cap of the root. please correct this mistake, ALOT of people depend on this website for correct answers

The region of cell division in a root is E. Meristem. This region is found just under the root cap. In this region, cells are perpetually dividing (mitosis), meaning there is a constant generation of new cells, causing the root to grow in length (primary growth). These regions of active cell division in plants are found in the growing tips of roots and stems, and they are called apical meristems.

E would have been the correct answer if roots were not mentioned. However, the meristematic region of a root is the root cap(which is A).

found in the shoot system,not in the root
