I cannot categorically say... Buh ma contrition s - diffusion deals with molecules 4rm high to low conc.

Eg spreading of a food aroma in a house

- osmosis s is a type of diffusion buh deals with solution through a SPM

Eg swelling of a potato placed in water.

A process involving d two s a tea bag placed in hot water. It releases its taste and aroma into d water(diffusion) and d tea bag swells(osmosis).

I go with option A tho!

D answer is option A wc is diffusion cos diffusion is d movement of molecules 4rm a region of higher concentration 2 a region of lower concentration,d answer wuld av been osmosis if at all d question mentioned thru a semi -permeable membrane cos osmosis is more complex dan diffusion

Osmosis can only function in a liquid medium, but diffusion can occur in all three mediums (solid, liquid and gas). Furthermore, osmosis requires a semi-permeable membrane, while diffusion does not. The intake of water in plants is an example of osmosis.

A is correct because it is the movement of molecule from a region of highet concentration to a region of lower concentration

Difusion and osmosis r 2 oposite terms use in explainin movment of molecules of a liquid or gas,or even solid frm a region of either lower or higher concentratn.hweva,d former dils wt movmen frm higha conc. while,d lata dils wt lower conc.

difusion is also tru a semipermeable membrane, but the difference is that osmosis has to deal specially with liquids exp water, while difussion cud b particles or.....

its A,i do get it wth ds code, wen its in case of diffusion, take a perfume for instance,go to a corner of d rum and produce d smell, den go to d second corner of d rum,u find out dat d smell of d perf has gone frm d plce wea u start it(higher concentration)to there where u er(at lower concentration)and dat defines diffusion...hope ds s clear???

The answer is diffusion. Semi-permeable membrane was not indicated here and osmosis Is The Movement of Water molecules from a region of higher conc. to a region of lower conc UNTIL equilibrum is attained.

Diffusion refers to the movement of molecules from an area of high concentration to an area of lower concentration. Osmosis is a type of diffusion specifically for water molecules moving across a semi-permeable membrane.

Do we have to add "until they are evenly distributed" to the definition?

diffusion is d movement of molecule frm d region of higher con'c 2 lower con'c til dy are evenly distributed while osmosis is d movement of water or solvent 4rm weaker or lower con'c 2 stronger or higher con'c true semi permable membrane

Osmosis is frm a region of lower to higher tru a semi-permeable membrane while diffusion is frm a region of higher to lower. So A is d correct ans

Polyanna

the ans s clear,osmosis is true a semi-permable membrane,so d ans is A,nd dats final.

in diffusion, water molecules are moved the region of hiya conc.to d region of lower conc. Until they are evenly distributed
