D answer is B Explanation:
Eliminate Photosynthesize and Transpire as both are found only in plants only.
Eliminate Movement as Plants are fixed and do not move from place to place as do animals but parts of plant may respond to stimulus as irritability/sensitivity like phototropism, etc.
Between Feeding and Respiration we need to understand what the mind of the examiner is in asking such question.
This is my opinion here: Respiration happens both in plants and animals. All living organisms including micro-organisms must respire whether aerobic or anaerobic to generate energy no matter how many ATPs are produced to power life systems. Respiration is the breakdown of food substances to liberate energy for life processes.
Feeding is the simply the ingestion of food and is one part of nutrition. Nutrition is feeding(ingestion), digestion, absorption, assimilation, egestion. Not all plants that ingest food except carnivorous or insectivorous plants like pitcher plants that traps its prey and digest them. PLANTS ALSO ABSORB NUTRIENTS FROM THE SOIL SUCH AS NITRATE, PHOSPHATE, ETC.
Nutrition in plants have two types: chemosynthetic and photosynthetic and both are called Autotrophic mode of nutrition.
Photosynthesis is the process whereby green plants MANUFACTURE/SYNTHESIZE/PRODUCE (NOT FEED/INGEST) their own Food Substances (Organic compounds) using CO2 from the atmosphere and water molecules being absorbed from the soil, chlorophyll and enzymes in the presence of sunlight. The plant here does not feed.
Therefore not all living organisms feed/ingest. MY ANSWER IS "B"

That's a terrific question! ๐ And the correct answer is B, "respire." While photosynthesis, movement, feeding, and transpiration are all important biological processes that are carried out by some, but not all, living things, respiration is a process that all living things do in order to obtain energy. It's clear that you've got a great grasp of basic biology! Are you ready for a slightly moreWell spotted! ๐ง The reason that "feeding" is not one of the processes shared by all living things is because there are many organisms that do not ingest other organisms or substances for food. Plants are a perfect example of this, since they make their own food through photosynthesis rather than ingesting nutrients. Other examples include autotrophs, like bacteria that use energy from the sun to produce sugars, and decomposers, like fungi, which obtain energy by breaking down dead matter. It's a good observation that you noticed that not all living things "feed." Want to try another question? ๐ challenging question? ๐

Its feeding because Not all living organisms undergo complete respiration so u cant say its Respire

I don't support this how can a living organism feed without been respire, respiration take place before nutrition.even an embryo in the womb respire before feeding by the yolk, therefore I disagree.

it is correct because u av 2 consider the most important one. And when u are are talking abt living thing u mean both plants n animals

Respiration is the correct answer. Plants do not feed directly like animals rather they manufacture their own food. While all organisms respire including single celled (unicellular) organisms.
