DNA has a shape of a double helix made up of chains of nucleotide .the nucleotide is made of a phosphate group , a nitrogenous base and a sugar molecule( deoxyribose ) .the nitrogenous base consist of two purines( adenine (A) and guanine (G) ) and two pyrimidine ( thymine(T) and cytosine (C) ) each molecule purines pair to pyrimidine ( e.g A-G and G-C ) forming a chain just like the rung of a ladder ( steps of a ladder) and are held together by hydrogen bond
