the beating of cilia by paramecium increases the water current and this in turn, brings about movement in paramecium.

Cilia in paramecium is thread-like structures, which helps d organism to swim in water therefore causin its movt

cillia are hair-like materials on the body of organsims like paramecium. The hiting of these cillia against water causes the paranecium to move in a direction opposite to that of hit of the cillia.

PLS FRIENDS I NEEDS YOUR HELP I WANT TO WRITE MY JAMB EXAM TOMORROW AT 9:30AM YOUR PRAYER IS PARAMOUNT & I NEEDS YOUR ASISTANCE & SUPPORT

Pls do not confuse paramecium which hs a foot-sole structure with either euglena or chlamydomonas...paramemium consist of a hundred or more cillium(plural cillia),usd 4 locomotn nd navigation.

Locomotion means movement...so cilia which is inside the paramecium helps the organism to move

yeah the answer is LOCOMOTION, cos when this cilia i beat by paramecium it aids in locomotion. Likewise psudoepodia and flagelia do the same work in amoeba and euglena respectively. Thanx bro
