In the evolutionary trend reptiles are just before birds meaning birds which are also seen as glorified reptiles evolved from reptiles. One evidence of this is that while reptiles have scales all over their body ,bird have Scally feet (especially the waders which spend time in water) from this birds with feather on their feet evolved.

Answer is very correct

The correct answer is:

D. scales

Birds are evolutionarily linked to reptiles because they have scales on their legs, a trait inherited from their reptilian ancestors. This similarity is one of the key pieces of evidence supporting the evolutionary connection between birds and reptiles, particularly dinosaurs.

The correct answer is:
D. scales

Explanation:
Birds and reptiles share a common evolutionary ancestor, and one of the key features linking them is the possession of scales. Birds have scales on their legs and feet, which are similar in structure to reptilian scales. Additionally, feathers in birds are considered to be modified scales that evolved over time.

In contrast:

Feathers (A) are unique to birds.
Beak (B) is also unique to birds and not a shared characteristic with reptiles.
Skeleton (C) has similarities, but scales are a more direct link between the two groups.
So, scales are the most significant feature linking birds to reptiles in evolutionary terms. 🐦🦎
